Summary:
The Quality Coordinator position ensures that the quality systems for all business units meet the organization’s needs by overseeing all process development, management, audits, and compliance responsibilities. We are looking for an individual who is continually challenging our systems and providing tools, techniques, and training that will help enable others to achieve better quality in their own areas.
Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for the development, implementation, and effectiveness of quality systems for all parts of the organization. This role serves as the management representative and internal auditor; leads meetings with management for operational effectiveness; and leads or directs projects or action items and evaluations for process or product improvement. This position will also serve in a supervisor capacity over the Quality Assurance Analyst, learn about other non-ISO certifications or operational excellence programs and approve work instructions or processes for major changes in the system.
To perform this role successfully, the candidate must possess the ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision. This role requires strong organization skills and attention to detail. In addition, familiarity with appropriate and effective internal control procedures and good interpersonal skills with the ability to interview individuals associated with audit subject matter, as well as communicate findings to management.
Requirements:
An individual with Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or equivalent; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; previous work experience leading quality systems and/or quality teams with proven performance on advancing quality systems for an organization; the ability to identify business process improvements and report existing deficiencies to management and previous experience working within a manufacturing/distribution organization with ISO certification Preferred ISO qualifier. Advanced MS Access and MS Excel experience preferred along with data collection and analysis experience.
