New CVe Monitor Features Flash Drive

A 2GB flash drive turns the CVe Monitor into a veritable library of resources for anyone monitoring or maintaining production tooling.

Accessing a mold’s complete history
can be an invaluable benefit for mold builders and processors alike. Now, Progressive makes this possible with
the new CVe Monitor that features a
built-in 2GB flash drive.

Mold drawings and set-up sheets can
be stored on the flash drive along with performance history including:

• Cycle time monitoring to verify consistent part quality and cost

• Maintenance activity tracking to reduce unscheduled mold stoppages.

Plus all reports and documentation are accessible to tooling engineers from wherever the mold is run.

To find out more about this unique device, visit procomps.com/CVe, plus

CVe Monitor.

It's Been Said

Cavaform VP Chuck Massie, right, with brother Dave, says the CVe Monitor is standard on every mold they build.

Featured case study illustrates how companies are using the CVe Monitor to drive maintenance forward.

Cavaform International in St. Petersburg, FL, exports molds and components to
35 countries. The Company’s Vice President, Chuck Massie, told Progressive that because the markets they serve are mostly medical and medical disposables, which are highly regulated, they find it beneficial to
provide their customers with training
and guidelines for running and caring
for the molds they build. Massie also said the new CVe Monitor is a good complement to this practice.

“We’re starting to specify the CVe
Monitor as a standard on our molds,” Massie confirms. “It’s a unique product and we see it as complementing our maintenance manuals. The CVe tracks the data we need to ensure that our molds are being cared for as they should be for the best possible performance.”

Massie’s company was featured along with others in a MoldMaking Technology case study article about the CVe Monitor.

Procomper Spotlight

Kurt Mohrbacher
Engineering Manager

Progressive is pleased to introduce the newest addition to its Engineering Department: Kurt Mohrbacher. Kurt has joined the team and hit the ground running as Engineering Manager, a role he embraces with enthusiasm.

“A top priority is to maintain the high degree of professionalism, accuracy and trust that our customers expect,” says Kurt. “As a longtime mold building customer myself, I can relate to the needs of the moldmaker. Much of their concern deals with the ability to competitively quote and win projects while still being able to provide a high quality product. My experience as a New Product Development Engineer and Tool Engineering Manager involved in product conception through to the installation and validation of manufacturing cells helps me bring the voice of the molding plant and their customers’ wants and needs to Progressive. I look for my experiences to help generate new value-added products and services for our customers while optimizing and maintaining the integrity of our current products.”

Kurt’s colleagues can now drop him a line at Kurt.Mohrbacher@procomps.com.
