conference sessions and the esteemed Leadtime Leader Awards.
The conference is an excellent forum where attendees can learn about new
technologies and approaches to product design and development. This
year, members of the PCIC Group will be among the many presenters on Day
2 of the conference as follows:

Builds”

In addition, Progressive’s sales team will be on hand in booth #413 to
showcase many new and innovative products that help to speed mold
building and reduce costs. If you would like to make an appointment to
meet with them while at the show, please contact

2010 Chapter of the Year (Western Michigan) and 2010 Mold Builder
of the Year Andrew Baker of Byrne Tool & Die.

The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) announced this year’s
winners of its esteemed Mold Builder of the Year and Chapter of the Year
awards and Progressive was on hand at the Annual Convention in March to
help present them.
Each year, as part of its Tooling for Tomorrow program, Progressive
sponsors these AMBA awards by giving a $5,000 scholarship to each
winner, who will then choose a trade related educational program as the
beneficiary of the funds. This year, Andrew Baker of Byrne Tool & Die,
was honored as Mold Builder of the Year while the AMBA’s Western
Michigan Chapter was named Chapter of the Year.
More than just scholarships, the Tooling for Tomorrow program also
entails the donation of products to educational programs throughout
North America. It is one way Progressive can help to ensure a viable
future for the industry and the young persons seeking to build a career
in it.

Specify genuine CounterViews from Progressive for fail-safe performance.
|
For those in the moldmaking
industry charged with global initiatives, the more specific tooling
engineer is the more successful tooling engineer.
“I am diligent at specifying
Progressive Components for my molds. Otherwise it’s a big unknown as
to what I’m receiving and how it will run in the press,” stated Howard
Meinert, Global Tooling Procurement at Mantz Automation.
Counterfeits of Progressive
items have emerged, and in addition to legal actions towards
violators, Progressive has had items evaluated and tested by an
independent third party. The chart below reflects the vast performance
difference between imitations and the genuine Progressive part.
To ensure that you are
getting what you are paying for, consider specifying the use of
www.ProFileCV.com.
Utilizing this secure, virtual ‘file cabinet’, purchase orders for
components and hot runner systems, as well as steel certifications and
tool drawings, can be housed to guarantee 100% compliance of tooling
specifications.

The overall feel of the show was very positive with an optimistic
outlook.”
