Tooling For Tomorrow
|
|
Progressive
Components recently participated in a presentation during which the
American Mold Builders Association 2011 Mold Builder of the Year Alan Petrucci
gave the $5,000 grant check he received to the CNC/Machine Tool Technology program at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL.
Next month, the AMBA 2011 Chapter of the Year, which is the Chicago Chapter, will present its $5,000 grant to the Austin Polytechnical Academy
in Chicago.
The awards and grant money, which is sponsored by Progressive as part of its Tooling for Tomorrow Program, are given each year in cooperation with the AMBA to help ensure the future of mold manufacturing in the United States and to serve as a liaison between mold makers and trade-related educational programs in their regions.

It's Been Said
|
|
Progressive recently spoke with Mold Designer Robert Vaughn at
Fairway Injec-tion Molding Systems about products and
customer service
provided,
especially about tech support with custom orders.
“The quality of Progressive’s components is very good,” he said. “The website is easy to navigate and there is a great selection of CAD geometry available that is exactly what
we
need as we
design our molds.
“When I need custom work on such products as tie rods or machine ways for stack molds,
Progressive’s
Tech Support service is top notch,” he continued. “They are
very timely with their responses and quotes. The pricing has
always been very good, as has delivery and quality and we
appreciate that.”
To inquire about custom components or request
technical support, please email
tech@procomps.com or call
800-269-6653, and a member of Progressive's Engineering Team
will assist.
