Progressive Adds New Sizes of FlexiCores^® 

Progressive has added two new sizes of FlexiCores to its exclusive line of undercut release solutions.   

The FlexiCore offers an economical and space efficient method for releasing molded undercuts.  It springs away from the molded detail as the ejector plates move forward.  A Bronze Guide prevents twisting and provides wear-resistant support, while the included Heel Plate secures the unit without rigidly affixing it to the ejector plate. 

“FlexiCores are a proven approach that is perfect for reducing mold cost and delivery times,” says Mark Malloy, Sales and Marketing Manager at Progressive Components.  “After wire EDM-ing core inserts, the FlexiCore can easily be fit from the parting line, while the entire core half of the mold is assembled.” 

New sizes include 12x14mm and 12x16mm, and they are available with all styles of FlexiCore Assemblies from Progressive.

Progressive continues to receive positive feedback from customers about its products and services, and date stamps and plugs are no exception.  Jeff Lallensack at Bemis Manufacturing recently told us why he relies on Progressive, especially for year-end changeovers.

Survey Says...

Each year, Progressive sends out an Engineering Survey to ensure that we are providing the products that customers want.  This year’s survey yielded excellent feedback and we wish to thank everyone who participated. 

More than 600 companies responded including a variety of mold shops, molders, design houses and mold buyers, and of those, over 99% ranked Progressive’s new product development and communications as good or very good.  In addition, over 98% said they were happy with Progressive’s service and support. 

Many also provided insightful and helpful comments: 

“I've used the product animations to help my customers understand the actions within the mold,” said one respondent.  “Progressive's tech support is very good; the customer service team seems to understand what the component is used for and is very good at helping to find solutions.” 

Another respondent said, “We always get great service and high quality products from Progressive.” Yet another customer offered this: “Expandable Cavities made my mold design so easy!”

Boss’ Day Winner

As is customary every year, Progressive sent Boss’s Day greetings to customers near and far in October, thanking them for their business and continued trust.  Along with this note of appreciation, a raffle is held and this year’s recipient of a $250 gift card is Dave Zickefoose of Ideas, Inc. in Green, OH.
