The National Plastics Exposition is here... and so is Progressive.
With displays in the South and West halls of  Chicago’s
McCormick Place, Progressive is positioned to promote new
innovations for production tooling. Despite challenging
business conditions, the industry is seeking new technologies
to decrease cost and improve tooling performance.

The South Hall is serving as Progressive’s headquarters for
the week, and features ‘show within a show’ sub-booths dedicated
to specific capabilities within our Group.

The West Hall, as part of the Mold Making Expo, features samples of newly
released items and product literature, along with distribution of VIP Cards good
for discounts at Chicago attractions.

For those looking to meet new contacts or discover new manufacturing technologies,
NPE 2009 is the right place at the right time.

Can’t journey to the show? Then you are invited to "attend" online.

For the fourth consecutive NPE Progressive is exclusively providing its Virtual
Booth at www.procomps.com/NPE. Beginning the morning of June 22nd, the
site enables attendees to learn of new product introductions, indicate specific
areas of interest, and download product information.

Also, online visitors can register for the NPE Grand
Prize, a trip to EuroMold 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Welcome to Chicago... We’ve been expecting you!

Stop by either of our two booths and pick up your Progressive VIP card,
which entitles you to special discounts and offers from some of the
favorite spots in our hometown of Chicago.

Also, while others are in a long taxi line
crying the blues, in Progressive’s South
Hall location Chicago Emmy nominee
Liz Mandville will be rocking the blues.
Stop by Monday through Wednesday at
4:30 p.m. for snacks and refreshments
and at 5 p.m. Liz and the Blue Points
will rock the house VIP style!

Progressive continually seeks ways to assist the industry and support programs that benefit both veterans and those just entering the industry.

For example, Progressive is proud to once again sponsor the MoldMaking Expo 2009 Technical Conference.
With a wide array of topics presented
in the forms of keynote addresses, workshops, seminars and panel discuss-ions, this technical conference is an ideal way for attendees to get their fill of  vital information from noted industry experts.

In addition, Progressive will also repeat its annual sponsorship of the distin-guished MoldMaking Technology Lead-time Leader Awards, which recognize outstanding North American mold making shops and their ability to succeed in today’s global mold market.

Earlier this year, Progressive sponsor-ed a $5,000 scholarship to this year’s

winner of the AMBA Mold Builder of the Year Award and also helped establish the first AMBA Chapter of the Year Award, to which another $5,000 scholarship was given.

Bill Mach, president of Mach Mold Incorporated in Benton Harbor, MI, is the 2009 recipient of the Mold Builder of the Year Award, while the Southwestern Michigan Chapter of the American Mold Builders Association took top honors as the first Chapter of the Year Award recipient. The

honors were bestowed during the AMBA’s Annual Convention in Puerto Rico and both award recipients elected to give their scholarships to Lake Michigan College to benefit its Machine Tool Technology program.

Progressive feels fortunate to be able to provide these scholarships and others each year, and we thank the AMBA and MoldMaking Technology for the opportunity to do so.
