Knockout Savings
As core inserts become
more complex, so does the need for Ejector Pins to be
keyed. Progressive’s Keyed
Ejector Pins, are simple in design and yet they are a
time-saving advantage when molding a contoured surface.
Keyed
Ejector Pins feature heads annealed to 32 Rockwell hardness (HRC) and
precision flat at the tangent point so they stay properly oriented in
the mold. Additionally, they are through-hardened to 40-44 HRC at the
core, and 66-70 HRC at the surface, and can be provided in a wide range
of inch, DIN and JIS sizes.
Progressive’s Ultra Pins®
are treated with chrome to assist in clean-room applications
where grease is not allowed. They are available in straight and
shoulder styles, as well as oversized, and can withstand temperatures up
to 1600 degrees F. In addition to being
H-13 through-hardened to minimize dishing, nicking, and bending,
they are also an economical choice because they reduce the
coefficient of friction to prevent galling and lengthen the life of the
pin.

It's Been Said... |
|
By
actively surveying customers from multiple ‘listening posts’,
Progressive seeks out feedback, to learn what areas need further
developing. Here’s some encouraging words recently gathered:
Tom Andrews at Dynamic
Tool and Design told us, “Progressive
Components has played an important role for us; we like the products very
much. When we design tooling, we only use products that have a proven
track record.”
M&M Tool
relayed these thoughts to us: “Your catalog is usually open on our
desks. We pretty much solely utilize Progressive Components. Most of
our customers specify your items, and of your newer products, we’ve used
the Keyed Ejectors and
Roller Pullers, which are working
fine. The Keyed Ejectors save time and it’s one less process to worry
about.”

Innocente
G. Fabbro
Canadian Sales Manager
A consummate sales
professional and linguist (he speaks four languages),
Canadian Sales Manager Innocente (Inno) G. Fabbro brings energy and
enthusiasm to his work at Progressive Components.
Inno, who joined
Progressive Components Canada in 2006, takes his role seriously,
explaining it this way: “Given the unique challenges addressed here in
Canada, including language considerations, I am a liaison between
Progressive’s solutions, and our customers’ applications, often fielding
technical queries to supplying the answers required.”
Inno stresses that
identifying with customers is one of the most important aspects of his
job because it helps him to learn about their tooling component needs
and provide cost-effective solutions.
“These are more than
customers, they are partners,” he says. “For us to be recognized, as a
supplier of choice is a privilege because it brings an almost immediate
understanding that they recognize the quality, service, innovation and
all the value added benefits that we bring to them.”
Send Inno an e-mail to
say hello and find out what solutions he can provide to your Canadian
plant at
