Quality Assurance Analyst/Quality Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Analyst/Quality Coordinator position will have general oversight responsibility of the corporate quality system to support ISO 9001:2000 system requirements including document control, product conformance, supplier management, and facilitation of advancement of the system throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Management Representative for ISO, ensuring system compliance, directly reporting to, and working with, the Engineering & Quality Manager.

  • Ensure organizational quality by identifying improvements and monitoring developmental actions (i.e. Kaizen events, reporting, audits, 5S initiatives).

  • Responsible for product quality and oversees or conducts product inspections and wear/functional testing using internal and outside resources.

  • Develops and coordinates customer satisfaction surveys and reports to upper management, ensuring closure of all actions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read blue prints and a solid understanding of mechanical parts with quality control or inspection tool knowledge required.

  • Training in auditing techniques or experience in quality system auditing is required.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a Quality Assurance role.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to details, and the ability to multi-task.

  • College-level course work or a bachelor’s degree preferred

Technical Sales Engineer 

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain information from Engineering and develops introductions & quote request.

  2. Evaluate vendors’ capabilities on quality systems, inspection/validation of prototype parts & submission of samples for potential production order.

  3. Obtain quotes/analyze pricing from prospecting vendors, qualify & assess vendors on quotation & manufacturing of existing products.

  4. Do research on alternative technologies for products manufacturing to improve specs & reduce cost.

  5. Provide documented proposal and spreadsheet on vendors’ info to Engineering for analysis.

  6. Support & maintain integrity on Optimum standard process/WI & providing suggestions for efficiencies as needed.

  7. Manage custom components quotes and expand regional contactable database.

  8. Participate in Technical Sales Presentations as directed.

  9. Participate in trade shows and industry events.

Project Sales Engineer 

Responsibilities:

  1. Learn upcoming projections from OEM, and carrying out new products/projects transfer.

  2. Follow up on inter-companies technical and manufacturing interface between OEM, in house engineering department and various approved vendors.

  3. Support customer evaluation from product design/prototyping stage until mass production.

  4. Provide expertise on engineering designs, product applications and execution of projects.

  5. Advise and monitor vendors’ inventory and production level.

  6. Monitor customer consumption and needs.

  7. Oversee customer orders and customer satisfaction.

  8. Manage Part revision request and engineering changes.

Requirements:

  • Technically competent to review product specifications and prototypes.

  • Highly independent to co-ordinate various projects in multi-tasking environment.  

  • Must be strong in Adobe Acrobat with CAD knowledge and strong excel skills.

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Supply Chain Mgmt, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to generate statistics and project tracking report.

  • Good judgment, responsibility and accountability with a hands-on approach.

  • Commitment to providing a high level of service to all internal and external customers.

  • Commitment to teamwork both as a contributor and a leader with demonstrated ability to deliver results.

  • To excel, you should be an aggressive self-starter with good negotiation skills.
