3D CAD Geometry

In response to the increasing use of 3D design of injection molds, Progressive Components, a full-line supplier for the plastics tooling industry announces the addition of 3D CAD geometry. This is complementary to PC/Mold, the existing 2D geometry that Progressive introduced over 10 years ago, which was the first downloadable geometry available to North American moldmakers at no charge.

Progressive Components has compiled a library of verified, steel sized, 'machine- ready' CAD geometry, which includes the full range of mold components and mold actions, Rapid Tooling Inserts and products within the Hot Runner Systems line. Progressive's 3D CAD geometry is available in STEP (.stp), ACIS (.sat), IGES (.igs) and Parasolid (.x_t) formats, and is accessible within the product section of www.procomps.com.
