Progressive Components Welcomes Glenn L. Marx
As Northeast Sales Manager

Glenn L. Marx has joined Progressive Components’ sales team as Northeast Sales Manager.

Based in Cleveland, Glenn comes to Progressive with extensive and well-rounded industry experience and will work with customers in, among other states, Michigan, Ohio and Massachusetts.

“Having been a lead man, foreman and supervisor, a purchasing agent, general manager and shop owner, I am able to understand the customer and better serve them in a way that is more effective and appropriate.” comments Marx. “My primary objective in my role at Progressive is giving customers what they need to be more efficient in their businesses.”

Glenn began in the trade serving his state certified apprenticeship at a premier mold shop in the Cleveland, OH, area. Since becoming a journeyman he was employed at various enterprises in different capacities gaining more than 20 years of experience. He has also completed design and engineering coursework in college as well as various industry courses. Glenn has been a lead man, model shop supervisor, mold designer, purchase agent, general manager, and founded his own mold making business. He has worked mainly with plastic injection molds, but has also been involved with progressive stamping dies, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling supportive of production manufacturing.

More recently, Glenn was an outside sales representative to mold makers and molders in the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, assisting customers with purchasing standard and designer components, mold bases, and hot runner systems for plastic injection molds.

Asked how he feels about being part of the Progressive Components team, Glenn replied, “When I was a general manager of a shop, I did all the ordering of supplies including, primarily, products from Progressive. I feel almost like I’ve come home; I’m excited about working here.”
