Lou Grupe, David Arias Join Progressive Components

Progressive Components has recently welcomed two new individuals to its Engineering Team.

Lou Grupe is a longtime industry veteran and has joined Progressive as Engineering Manager. Lou comes to Progressive with extensive mold making, mold design and engineering experience. Lou is also well-versed in quality systems such as ISO 9000 and TS. All of these talents will benefit him greatly as he works to help the Engineering Department grow through the development of new and improved products for tooling.

“My goal is to put the Engineering Department in a position where it drives this company into the future,” says Lou. “In order to do that, we’ll be looking for ways to further improve how this department services the company and the customer alike; and this team will constantly strive to make intelligent, good decisions with vendors. It all works together, and it makes sense for a company like Progressive.”

David Arias recently joined Progressive Components as Technical Customer Service Specialist. In that role, Dave is charged with working with the Customer Service and Engineering departments to review and quote all custom component requests, tracking the complete custom order process from the quoting stage through shipment for each customer to ensure a quality outcome.

Though Dave is still fairly new to Progressive, he is not new to the industry, having worked for several years at another tooling components supplier. A degreed engineer, Dave also speaks Spanish, an attribute he looks forward to bringing into play when technical questions and custom orders are received from Spanish-speaking regions of the world.

“I look forward to helping expand the Customs Division through customer interaction and the development of new products and systems,” comments David. “Providing technical assistance wherever it’s needed to ensure effective and timely fulfillment of a customer’s custom component requirements is my main objective.”
