Mold Maintenance Presentation at ANTEC

Steve Johnson, Maintenance Systems Manager at Progressive Components, will present a paper at ANTEC, the Annual Technical Conference sponsored by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).  This year’s event will be held May 4 – 8 at the Midwest Airlines Center & Milwaukee Hilton City Center Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.

Titled “Developing a Systemized Mold Maintenance Program”, Johnson will discuss ways in which systemizing a mold maintenance program can bring about such benefits as reduced production costs, improved part quality, maintenance efficiencies and on-time deliveries, not to mention increased leverage in the global marketplace.

“Advancements in mold and press design, resin development and manufacturing strategies are usually the issues that receive the vast majority of manufacturers’ attention, but it is just as important to examine how a proper and targeted mold maintenance program can positively affect the bottom line,” says Johnson.

Johnson will present his technical paper on Monday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m.

ANTEC is the single largest technical conference for the plastics industry in the world.  There are forums and sessions for working engineers, R&D Scientists, technicians, technical sales people, technical support personnel, academia and managers in the plastics industry.
