Progressive Components Introduces the New CamAction® 500 Series
Expanded Line of Standards Helps Reduce Die Casting Downtime

Progressive Components, a leading supplier of tooling components for the injection mold, blow mold and die cast die industries worldwide, introduces its new CamAction 500 Series for die casting.

The CamAction is a side action that helps pull core pins or detail, such as undercuts, out of parts that are being molded or cast.

The 500 Series is durable enough for virtually all die casting applications because it is a standard CamAction made of pre-hardened H-13 that’s available “off-the-shelf” every day. In addition, this Cam is melonite and titanium coated for wear resistance.

Versatility is a key feature with Progressive’s 500 Series Cams:

With slight modification the same Cam can be used mechanically up to a 2” stroke or hydraulically up to a 4” stroke
Both inch and metric standards are available
Cams can be top- or bottom-mounted

Progressive’s CamAction 500 Series offers a 5-degree angle lock-up on the A, or stationary, side of the Cam, for alignment and lock-up, and the Cams are manufactured with pre-calculated clearances for thermal expansion to prevent seizing or galling.

All Cams come with a slide insert. Mechanical Cams come complete with spring retainer and cylinder couplings are available for use with the hydraulic standards. For special situations, custom Cams can easily be built to customer specifications.

To reduce design time, Progressive Components provides CAD data online for all models and customs, plus replacement parts are available in stock, every day.
