Progressive Components Announces New Profile® 5
Mold Management Program
New Version Offers Many New Benefits for Tool Room Managers

Progressive Components, a leading supplier of tooling components for the injection mold, blow mold and die cast die industries worldwide, has released its new ProFile® 5 Mold Management software program.

First released in 1995, Profile is a mold management program for Tooling Engineers and Tool Room Managers that assists in tracking and maintaining complete mold data, customer information and preventative maintenance scheduling in a single database. Version 5 includes all the same benefits offered in previous versions of ProFile plus many more new enhancements.

Notable features of ProFile 5 include:

Full contact database for listing both customers and vendors: ProFile 5 stores full details including names, numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses for customers and suppliers with the ability to organize them for multiple locations. Main screen access to contacts and Profile users is also included.

Bill of materials program now included: The bill of materials (BOM) program lets users enter a database of parts that are utilized company-wide. Each part is identified by name, item number, supplier and catalog number and cost. Users can also enter components associated with each item and organize groups of parts so that they are linked to a specific tool or group of tools. In addition, standard reports may be generated for full cost reporting of items.

Status field on main screen: Users can label tooling as active, inactive, destroyed, etc. and use the status field to locate tools or sort and report on them with ease from the main screen.

Enhanced exporting and data transfer capabilities: The Export menu allows users to query data to transfer only select information to another program for additional reporting. Query on several levels and export to either a .txt or .dbf format.

More reporting and field options: ProFile 5 includes more fields within the View List screen enabling users to sort data with more options. Also, more choices are available for reporting including a Print Preview command that helps ensure reports are clean and concise.

Upgraded Windows® interface: Users will like the addition of icons and buttons that help them maneuver through various sections and features of ProFile 5.
