Progressive Components Announces New, Expanded Mold Component Product Lines at K 2007

Wauconda, IL USA Progressive Components is further advancing engineering standards with its introduction at K 2007 of new and expanded mold component product lines that help reduce costs and mold downtime, as well as speed mold building.  Progressive can be found in Hall 2, Stand G13 at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre, 24 – 31 October 2007.

New at K…
Newly introduced at K 2007 are Progressive’s Metric Top Locks.  Like the popular and widely used metric Side and Guide Locks that Progressive offers, the new metric Top Locks provide positive guidance between the cavities and cores.  In addition, unequal thermal expansion of the mold halves will not cause these locks to bind up.  Five new sizes range between 26mm x 35mm and 45mm x 100mm.

Expanded Standards…
Progressive Components is further advancing its Collapsible Core offering that was first introduced at NPE 2006.  Progressive’s patented GZ-Series C-Cores use a straight pin that allows the designer to control the position of the collapsible core and adjust the pin length and the safety ring position as needed. This approach also improves the stability of the collapsible core segments, while increasing the contact area for better cooling purposes.

Also, Progressive’s RT-Series C-Cores will see the addition of five new standard sizes, with three of the new sizes having been designed smaller than the original standard sizes, and two sized designed larger.

Progressive Components has also expanded its line of globally available Metric Core Blade Standards for its patented UniLifter®, the most widely-used standard product for molding and releasing undercuts.  New sizes include Core Blades in widths of 10 mm x 20mm up to 30mm x 15mm and in lengths up to 400mm.

Friction Free™ Products…
Progressive Components’ Friction Free™ line of components is winning applause from customers around the globe.  The Needle Bearing Lock, SRT Slide Retainer and Roller Puller fit Progressive’s engineering standards with no lubrication required for the product to function long-term, making it a unique choice for medical molds or tools with downstream paint operations where part contamination is a concern.  Each of these products will be on display at K 2007.
