Progressive Components Announces New Sizes
of Needle Bearing Locks

Progressive Components, a leading supplier of components to the production tooling industry, announces the addition of new sizes of Needle Bearing Locks from its Friction Free line.

“Since their introduction in 2005, our exclusive Needle Bearing Locks have proven to be a problem-solving solution that has earned a place in leading Mold Spec books,” comments Todd R. Steinhoff, U.S. Sales Manager at Progressive.

To further ease integration into a variety of tools, three new sizes of this unique lock have been added in a Side Lock configuration, and two new sizes in a Top Lock orientation. This style features a patented ‘live cage’, which allows for proper bearing performance, versus pocket trapped rollers.

Incorporating precision needle bearing technology to provide consistent, smooth positioning, as the Locks engage, the bearings provide additional lifting power without metal-to-metal wear. Live animations of this product can be viewed at www.procomps.com/demo.
