Progressive Components Expands Global Standards

Growing Line Increases Availability of Products Worldwide

Wauconda, IL U.S.A. -- Progressive Components has further expanded its Global Standards to include more sizes of the products toolrooms need most. The announcement was made on June 19^th at NPE 2006.

Because of the growing number of molds being exported from North America, Asia and Europe to destinations across the globe, Progressive has expanded its offerings of such standards as Leader Pins, Bushings and Ejector Sleeves by adding more sizes in European, Asia and Imperial (inch).

“A mold built in one part of the world often ends up molding far away,” commented Jessie Lee, General Manager of Progressive Components Asia. “It makes sense to ensure our customers can get replacement parts no matter where that mold is built because that ultimately reduces downtime and saves money. And the objective is to help customers achieve a high level of ‘up time’ as seamlessly as possible by providing the widest range of standard tooling components in the industry.”

“The expansion of JIS/DIN/Inch products is especially intended for mold repair departments,” added John Wakefield, Managing Director of Progressive Components Europe. “Then, through Progressive’s extensive distribution network, we can either ship a product directly from within a region or we can, for example, express ship a European standard from Progressive Components Europe to a mold that is ‘down’ in Asia.”

Now with distribution from nine locations on three continents, Progressive Components is the leading supplier of components for the injection mold, blow mold and die cast tooling industries worldwide.
