Lineup of Online Resources

Quick Quote is designed to offer toolmakers and buyers an easier, more efficient way to ballpark or estimate tooling costs.

“All the user has to do is log onto www.procomps.com and click on Resources, then plug in all the pertinent data,” says Mark Malloy, Progressive’s Manager of Sales and Marketing. “Quick Quote does all the calculating based on key data that is entered, such as shop rates, cavitation, side actions, if any, components and more. The resulting job estimate can be printed out or saved to the user’s computer, too. It’s fast and it’s accurate, as if the user produced the quotation with pencil and paper, as is traditional.”

From design to assembly, Quick Quote helps users figure accurately the cost of manufacturing injection molds. Quick Quote also offers space for additional notes on every screen, in every stage of the quoting process. If cavitation options change, the user can easily make adjustments without disrupting the remaining data that has already been input into the program.

“Even sampling time can be figured into the job,” says Malloy, “so there is nothing left to chance. In the end, you get up to three variations on the quote with key stages of manufacturing broken out for easy reference. It makes for a very efficient, time-saving way to quote on work.”
